MISSION STATEMENT The Tampa Bay Tornadoes mission is to offer Tampa Bay and surrounding communities quality football at an affordable price. The Tornadoes Organization will utilize a variety of channels to get involved in the community and help enrich the lives of our fans, guests, and community through quality, service, sales, growth, and employment opportunities. The Tornadoes will focus on programs to encourage good sportsmanship and team mentality, and help develop and improve the skills of young athletes, allowing local athletes access to potential opportunities to play NFL, CFL, & Professional Indoor football.

ABOUT US Owner/General Manager: Alton Walker Alton Walker is a Tampa native and is excited to be a part of bringing his passion back to his hometown! Alton began his professional athletic career running track for Nike in 1994 and transitioned into football in 1996.  Throughout his career, Alton has trained and played in the NFL, NIFL, ADL, and APFL.  Alton has also held active coaching and General Manager positions in the NIFL, APFL, and IFL and was Co-Owner of the Cheyenne Warriors Professional Indoor Football Team from 2011 - 2013. In his spare time, Alton enjoys spending time with his kids, mentoring, working with several non-profit groups, and his ministry work.

Co-Owner/Player Personal:  Ken Nelson Ken Nelson is a native of Dallas, Texas where he was a standout athlete. Ken attended Arkansas State University in the mid 80's, where he was coached by Head Coach Larry Lacewell and Offensive Line Coach Gary Withrow, and started four years at offensive tackle.  He is a proud member of the 1986 SLC Championship Team, and played in the 1986  Diamond Bowl Championship Game.  In 1987, Nelson became the first lineman to receive three MVP awards in one season!  In 1988 he was ranked top three in rushing, but missed two games to a knee injury.  In 1989 he was Team Captain, Sporting News All Independent Team, and played on the All Decade Team 80’s. Nelson has worked in Law Enforcement and Sports Marketing areas over his career, and enjoys sports (ASU Red Wolves, Dallas Cowboys), traveling and working with Autism youth.
